Oakhill Road

Putney, London

A true Shaker kitchen built the traditional way.

Oakhill Road was designed with every detail reinforcing a sense of permanence, craft and familiarity. Exposed butt hinges, cabinet locks, cup handles and grooved end panels give the cabinetry an authentic, furniture-like quality, while glazed upper cupboards with grooved back panels and integrated lighting add depth and character.

Tall storage was taken right up through the room, with a sliding ladder introduced to make the upper cupboards both practical and visually distinctive.

The result is a kitchen that feels quietly elegant, highly functional and built with the kind of detailing that only gets better with age.
